How America Saves report offers fresh insights into investing habits

In 2012, retirement plan participants continued to shift their assets toward more balanced portfolios, they moved away from company-stock options, and they continued to adopt professionally managed portfolio allocations.
In fact, according to Vanguard Senior Research Analyst Jean Young, "the growth in professionally managed allocations is improving portfolio outcomes for the participants studied."
